I started my Ving Tsun training in January 1980 under Sifu Rex Aperauch (Moy Wo Tin). My previous martial arts experience included 3 years as a Muay Thai fighter. I continued my studies with Sifu through the Luk Dim Boon Gwan form. During my studies, I was copublisher of the original Kuen Kuit, under Si Gung Moy Yat's supervision. In the late 1980s, I moved to Miami and continued my studies with my Si Hain, Robert Smith. After leaving Miami, I was fortunate enough to reconnect with my Si Bak, Julian Cordero (Moy Yee Hop). Sifu Julian and Sifu Rex certified me as a Sifu in 2015, and I have been teaching at Palm Beach Ving Tsun since that time.
